PMC MDCAT Date



It was clarified by the Pakistan Medical Commission authorities that the
situation regarding the date is being reviewed, but so far in various
proposals, the first or second week of November is being said, but the final
decision in this regard also has to be with the vice chancellors after the
meeting, the PMC meeting will be held on September 27.




According to the details, there was a meeting between Pakistan Medical
Commission President, Dr. Naushad A. Sheikh and Sindh Health Minister Dr.
Azra Pechuho.  It was also agreed that the MD CAT would be conducted in
mid-November.




The officials say that PMC will try their best to conduct the exam on the
same day all over the country.







MDCAT POSTPONED




Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has shared another update about MDCAT,
which has already been postponed on more than one occasion due to some
issues and complications.  This time the PMC has announced that the MD
CAT exam will be conducted at the provincial level.



Although the official MDCAT dates are yet to be confirmed, the PMC has said
that the MDCAT exam will be held on the same day for Punjab, Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.  Due to the flood situation, MD CAT
will be held in Sindh and Balochistan on the same day but on a different
date from other provinces.







PMC NMDCAT Syllabus



Regarding the syllabus, PMC said.  It is said that the desire is
that the students should be examined under the same syllabus for which
they are currently preparing, but the final approval of this matter will
be given in the PMC council meeting.



So far it has been decided that the MCQs Bank will be provided by the PMC
to the various provincial public sector universities, but it is too early to
say whether the same paper will be created by all the universities or by
each province. It is said that the universities have been hired only for
logistical support, but further decision in this regard will be taken
between the PMC officials and the vice chancellors of various public sector
universities on Monday.







Passing Criteria



The Pakistan Medical Commission has reduced the passing rate of the MDCAT
exam for admission to dental colleges from 65 percent to 55 percent. This
decision was taken in the 12th session of the Pakistan Medical and Dental
Council.  The PMC spokesperson says that the MDCAT exam will be based
on a total of 210 questions.  The meeting was chaired by President PMC
Dr. Arshad Taqi.  The subject of  was also dropped from the MDCAT
syllabus.







Dates for MDCAT



MDCAT exam has been postponed until further notice, new date will be
announced later. Registration are re-opebed for MDCAT 2022 from 10 September
to 25 September.



According to the announcement, the purpose of re-registration is to give an
opportunity to those students who could not register.
